Monitoring and Testing
The services that are provided by native vegetation to wildlife communities can often be hard to measure; How many pollinators are being served by the site? How diverse is the population? We’re experienced in collecting data and monitoring sites for species abundance and diversity, and are willing and able to use that expertise for you. From insect surveys to vegetation assays, we’re happy to collect and interpret data for your site.
While it is easy to focus on the more readily visible aspects of an ecosystem, understanding the abiotic factors of the system is crucial in effective long-term management and care of diverse and resilient ecosystems. We’re equipped to test soil PH, drainage, and more in order to provide context and a better understanding of the trends that shape the sites we work on, on both a species abundance level and with relation to the seasonal landscape changes that occur. establishment of regular monitoring processes and compiling and interpretation of data to inform consulting and restoration work is a key service we provide.

Site Management
research and plan development for rehabilitation of neglected natural spaces into resilient, native plantings, through the provision of ecological expertise. Strong, diverse ecosystems host a myriad of benefits, from beautification to water purification, but maintaining these systems can be difficult. If you have land that you’d like to restore, but you don’t know where to start, we’re here for you! Trained and certified in ecological restoration, we can manage your site, creating and following management plans to establish, protect, and maintain resilient ecosystems.

Invasive Removal
Removal of invasive or nuisance species and establishment of native plant populations. Introduced and otherwise weedy species can crowd out plants, preventing the species diversity found in healthy, disruption-resistant systems. Using technical expertise and tools, removing these plants can allow for natives to take their place, and ultimately productive ecosystem members can establish and allow these natural spaces to flourish. If you have an infestation of anything from Buckthorn to Leafy Spurge, we can take care of it for you and set your ecosystem up for success.
